It has been a popular saying that getting a shelter was a good enough scenario in Mumbai. However, today almost all leading developers are coming up with not just homes but lifestyles. So much so that even new age apartment complexes are becoming a commodity as rarely is a developer innovating with designs. This is where the first principle of real estate becomes even more critical -the right land parcel. As Thane rapidly grows into a residential and industrial hub, Thanekars are now seeing the city turn grey in color. If given a choice between views of a concrete jungle or the beautiful Thane creek, who wouldn’t opt for the latter?
The Wadhwa Platina is an ongoing project at Kolshet road, Thane. An auto ride took me 25 minutes to cover the 9 km distance from Thane station to the site, considering the road and traffic conditions were good. The present state of the area was evident as I walked down the road, with several projects under construction on both sides. Although Ghodbunder Road is the big brother when it comes to property development, I feel projects at Kolshet road will always have a locational advantage in the market. It combines the luxury of living in a quiet and green neighbourhood, good access and close availability of all amenities. The road is four lanes wide with low traffic, which keeps noise and air pollution minimal. Kolshet road is just 7 minutes away from the Eastern Express Highway which makes the connectivity to road networks easy.
Hypermarkets such as Big Bazar and D-mart; malls such as Viviana, R-mall and Wondermall; schools such as Hiranandani Foundation School, Kendriya Vidyalaya and New English High School; hospitals such as Hiranandani and Jupiter, are located in 5 km radius vicinity. Looking at the location futuristically, it will be in close proximity to the new proposed metro line from Wadala to Ghodbunder Road and also the under consideration Monorail project, Thane-Bhiwandi- Kalyan MRTS.
About the Site and Project
So one doesn’t lose much by being a little off the Ghodbunder Road while there is much to gain in terms of cleaner living spaces. To reach the Wadhwa Platina site, I got down at the Bayer Main gate bus stop and found the site right opposite to the bus stop. It is worth a mention that the entrance to Wadhwa Platina was not directly from the main road, but from a service road besides it. The under construction site is spread over an area of 1.7 acres where two towers will be coming up, Platina A and Platina B. The apartment configurations on offer are 2.5 BHK and 3 BHK (820 to 983 sq. feet of carpet area).
The current prices of these Wadhwa Platina apartments range from approximately Rs. 1.2 Crore to Rs. 1.8 Crore. Wadha Developers have planned these apartments as ones offering luxury feel to residents. One thing that stands out in the 3 BHK apartment layouts is the L-shaped balcony given to one of the three bedrooms.
This ensures efficient usage of both the free walls and covers a wider viewing area. The recreational activities have been divided into four zones with the buildings situated in the centre of the site. The amenities include video door phone facility, swimming pool, multipurpose sports court, club house, gymnasium, jogging track, indoor games and recreational area. There is also the provision of a meditation and yoga room in the Platina premises.
About the builder
The Capital at BKC, Platina at BKC, Raghuleela Mall at Navi Mumbai and Wadhwa Address at Ghatkopar are some of the noteworthy developments by the Wadhwa Group. On completion of the project Wadhwa Platina, we hope it also creates a niche address for itself amongst the several upcoming projects in the vicinity.
