DRA Tuxedo-Less is More

DRA Tuxedo was different from all the other projects I have visited in that it was a single block project, managing to fit the same lifestyle in one block instead of it being spreading over a few acres. Covering an area of 12 grounds, the project construction had commenced only two weeks before my site visit. The developer DRA Projects has in its plan to pack a punch and doesn’t consider land size much of an issue. This road offers good connectivity to the city, linking Velachery to the Central, Southern and Northern parts of Chennai through three arms. These arms connect to Thiruvanmayur, Koyambedu, Padi, Madhavaram and Kathipara. In And Around Tuxedo Apartments
Tuxedo apartments are located off the Velachery-Tambaram link road, on the Inner Ring Road. This road offers good connectivity to the city, linking Velachery to the Central, Southern and Northern parts of Chennai through three arms. These arms connect to Thiruvanmayur, Koyambedu, Padi, Madhavaram and Kathipara. The close proximity of Tuxedo’s location to the residential hub of Velachery (2km), Guindy (6km) and the business district of Nandanam (10km) gives it an advantage. In addition to this, DRA Tuxedo is less than 7km away from the junction with the OMR at Thoraipakkam, giving it access to the IT hub of the city. The Velachery MRTS station is 3 kilometers away, and bus services are frequent to this area. The Chennai Airport in 7 kilometers away along the inner ring road. The Central Railway Station is 18 kilometers away.
Velachery is slowly becoming an alternate destination for residents of South Chennai, with everything a family could want. Malls such as Phoenix Market City and The Grand Mall provide retail therapy for those Sunday afternoons, along with other entertainment like movie theaters. Food places are in abundance, with independent restaurants as well as food chains like McDonald’s being available in a 5 kilometer radius. Schools like Navadisha Montessori School, Akshayah Matriculation and Pon Vidyashram provide an excellent atmosphere for your child to grow up in. Tuxedo has access to the colleges and universities along the OMR such as Sathyambama University and Hindustan Univeristy, as well as SRM university on the GST road. Colleges within the city like IIT Madras, and Anna University are even closer, around 4 and 10 kilometers respectively. A trip to Adyar takes less than 20 minutes from here.
Coming to the project itself, DRA Tuxedo proposes to provide an exclusive life within a single block. The apartments have been designed luxuriously, with more focus on the home itself. 2 bhk apartments are available in 3 sizes-1147, 1217 and 1234 sq.ft. Three bedroom apartments come in 4 sizes-1475, 1536, 1582 and 1639 sq. ft. The apartments are arranged on a triangular floor plate with 7 apartments on each floor, with a total of 56 apartments. The central courtyard on the first level gives some breathing space to the complex and acts as a communal space. It also adds to the quality of light and ventilation within each apartment, ensuring each house gets an ample amount of both.
The construction of the project had just started when I visited, so the only opinions I could form were from the sample apartment and the brochure. The word luxury is not taken lightly in this endeavor, with the residents being provided with wooden flooring in their master bedrooms, and free WiFi connectivity in all public spaces in the complex. A fully equipped gymnasium is to be provided, and a unique gaming room for children. The apartment on site was of the largest size-1639 square feet, having a concealed powder room in the living room, as well as three attached bathrooms.
This is the second project of the Bangalore-based DRA Projects in Chennai, the first, Pristine Pavilion, is coming up at Mahindra World City. The DRA Tuxedo tower will have basement and stilt parking, and will have 9 floors. The rate per square foot as of now is Rs. 7750. These apartments are expected to be handed over by June, 2018.

My wife and I were new to Bangalore and were looking for suggestions while planning to buy a home. A little Google search led us to this little known site called PropStory. They provide comprehensive reviews of under-construction projects which are based on actual site visits. The details are better than those we see in newspaper ads or even FB ads of these projects. After a little research on this site we narrowed down our search to a leading developer’s project in HSR Layout

There are many websites one can refer to when deciding on real estate purchase. Of these I have only come across PropStory which provides the information in a narrative style. There are details about layout, specifications, local neighbourhood, connectivity and even developer background. I also like that they write about other matters like infrastructure, issues in real estate and hot topics like GST and RERA. Kudos to PropStory.

I recently visited a leading developer’s construction site and was disappointed by the lack of sufficient information the sales people gave me. My husband and I almost gave up on the project. But we like some of the specifications and decided to look for more online. That when we found PropStory and they had covered this project! We so pleased to find more info and were able to make our housebuying decision. Thanks PropStory.

When I was suggested to check out PropStory, I was not sure I would be interested. I don’t like reading and real estate is boring subject. But this site gives enough details through images also so that it is easy for those who don’t like reading. My opinion of real estate changed and I look forward to knowing more about upcoming residential projects in other cities too

PropStory I like your writing style. It is simple and understandable. You do not support any developer or project but have a general opinion about the projects. I also like your new site design where I can quickly scan through features of a project and what is available or not.

PropStory articles are good. I suggested to my brother in law to read these articles before deciding on a property. He was impressed with the details and knowledge of writer. Some construction technology used is also explained which helps us common man to understand. Other websites are not doing so. Well done PropStory!
